Due to expansion TWM is looking to set up a team of Technical Solder Assemblers within our EPIC Centre facility. - We’ve been supplying probably the best solder joints in the country for a while now and we have seen significant increase in the demand for this across our range of customers. We are keen to hear from people with a genuine interest in science and materials. We are ideally looking for people with some experience of solder assembly (not of circuit boards) particularly soldering GPO/GPPO connectors and feedthroughs into RF/ Microwave enclosures. This is done by hand under microscopes and therefore requires very good fine motor skills and co-ordination – some experience of working with microscopes would be ideal and any understanding of this type of industry would be valuable. We are also looking for people new to the role who want to learn new skills in an area with good future potential and would welcome applications from anyone with a good work ethic and an enquiring mind – the parts we make are used and trusted by companies around the world in applications where high quality is vital. Someone who takes pride in their work is essential – the job will be varied and will include visual inspection / assembly / packing / parts cleaning, as well as talking with our customers. The successful candidates will have to be flexible, have great interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn as well as being able to work alone, as well as part of a team. As well as solder assembly, we are looking to expand into other ancillary services including operating x ray machines, measurement systems etc. We are looking at both full time and part time options to suit the very best applicants and can provide some flexibility on hours.
